Past Projects
During the summer of 2007, a group of 3 students and I conducted a study to examine the biotic and abiotic factors affecting the distribution of round-leaved sundew (Drosera rotundifolia) at SUNY ESF's Cranberry Lake Biological Station.
Have questions about one or more of my research projects? Send me an email at lebeaty@syr.edu and I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Current Research
As an independent undergraduate research project, I am examining the effect of environmental factors on physical characteristics of the lateral line sensory organ in tadpoles.
I am also collaborating with a professor to study the effects of environmental factors on tadpole lateral line characteristics based on analysis of preserved specimens.
During the summer of 2009, I was granted one of the Cranberry Lake Undergraduate Research Fellowship Awards from SUNY ESF. I used this opportunity to examine the effects of trail systems on the distribution and abundance of salamander populations.
